Terms of Service
Last updated: July 22, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using PayWallPage (operated by Hankified LLC), including paywallpage.com, paywall.page, and related services (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. The Service
PayWallPage lets creators publish a public profile and sell access to digital content (files, links, or text) behind paywalls. Key facts:
- Creator sales run through the creator's own Stripe account (bring-your-own keys). Buyers pay the creator directly
- PayWallPage does not take a percentage of creator sales (0% platform fee on GMV)
- Optional Pro subscription ($18/mo) unlocks platform features such as custom domains, watermark removal, and design tools. Pro is billed by PayWallPage via Stripe
- The Service is for digital content only. Physical goods and offline fulfillment are not supported
3. Accounts
You are responsible for:
- Keeping login credentials confidential and securing your account
- All activity under your account
- Choosing a username that complies with our rules (letters, numbers, hyphens; length limits). Reserved or impersonating usernames may be blocked or reclaimed
- Connecting and maintaining valid Stripe API keys if you accept paid checkouts
- Ensuring you have all rights needed to sell and distribute the content you publish
- Complying with all applicable laws and regulations
You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) to create a creator account and sell content.
4. Payments and Taxes
Creator sales. You are the merchant of record for content sold through your Stripe account. Stripe's processing fees apply. You are responsible for pricing, delivery, buyer support, refunds for your sales, chargebacks on your Stripe account, and collecting/remitting applicable taxes.
Pro subscriptions. Pro bills monthly through Stripe. You can cancel anytime from the dashboard. Access continues through the end of the paid period. Partial-period refunds are not provided unless required by law. See our Refund Policy.
You must also comply with Stripe's restricted business lists and acceptable use requirements. Content or activity that puts Stripe accounts or PayWallPage at risk is prohibited.
5. Prohibited Content and Conduct
You may not use the Service to upload, sell, promote, or distribute:
- Illegal goods, services, or content, or content that facilitates crime
- Copyrighted, trademarked, or otherwise proprietary material you do not have rights to sell
- Sexually explicit, pornographic, or adult content
- Content that exploits or endangers minors in any form
- Malware, phishing, scams, or deceptive offers
- Hate, harassment, threats, doxxing, or content that incites violence
- Content that violates payment-network or Stripe prohibited / restricted categories
- Counterfeit, pirated, or stolen materials
You also may not:
- Impersonate others or reserve usernames/domains to confuse users
- Attempt to bypass fees, watermarks, access controls, or security measures
- Scrape, overload, or reverse engineer the Service except as allowed by law
- Use the Service for spam, bulk unsolicited messaging, or affiliate abuse
6. Enforcement
We may investigate suspected violations. We reserve the right, at our sole discretion and without prior notice when we deem necessary, to:
- Remove or disable content or paywalls
- Reclaim usernames or custom domain mappings
- Suspend or terminate accounts
- Cancel Pro subscriptions without refund where abuse is involved
- Report illegal activity to law enforcement or payment partners
- Cooperate with Stripe and other providers when accounts or payments are at risk
Enforcement decisions are made to protect buyers, creators, and the platform. We are not obligated to monitor all content, but we may act on reports, automated signals, or our own review.
7. Intellectual Property
You retain ownership of content you upload. By publishing on PayWallPage, you grant us a limited license to host, display, transmit, and process that content solely to operate and promote the Service (including previews on your public profile).
PayWallPage branding, software, and site design remain our property. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute our materials except as expressly allowed.
8. DMCA and Rights Complaints
If you believe content on the Service infringes your copyright or other rights, email paywallpage@hankified.com with a description of the work, the allegedly infringing URL, your contact information, and a statement made under penalty of perjury that you are authorized to act. We may remove content and, in appropriate cases, suspend repeat infringers.
9. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation, that content will meet your expectations, or that creator-sold products are accurate or fit for a particular purpose. Creator-buyer transactions are between those parties. PayWallPage is a software platform, not a party to those sales, except for Pro subscription billing.
10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PAYWALLPAGE AND HANKIFIED LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATED TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US FOR PRO IN THE THREE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100).
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless PayWallPage and Hankified LLC from claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your content, your sales, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of law or third-party rights.
12. Changes and Termination
We may modify these Terms or the Service at any time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for any reason, including violation of these Terms. Sections that by nature should survive (including payments owed, IP, disclaimers, liability limits, and indemnity) survive termination.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of New York, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, unless mandatory local law requires otherwise.
