1. Who We Are

PayWallPage is operated by Hankified LLC ("PayWallPage," "we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect information when you use paywallpage.com, paywall.page, and related services (the "Service").

2. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide and information generated when you use the Service:

Account data: email, username, profile details (bio, avatar, cover images, social links, theme preferences)
Creator payment setup: Stripe API keys you connect so buyers pay your Stripe account. Keys are encrypted at rest. We do not store buyer card numbers for creator sales
Pro billing: when you subscribe to Pro, payment details are processed by Stripe. We receive billing status and related transaction metadata, not full card numbers
Content: paywalls, files, links, text, and other materials you upload or publish
Usage data: page views, product interactions, device/browser type, approximate location derived from IP, and diagnostic logs needed to operate and secure the Service
Communications: support emails and other messages you send us

3. How We Use Your Information

We use information to:

Provide, maintain, secure, and improve the Service
Authenticate accounts and enable creator profiles and paywalls
Process Pro subscriptions and send related billing notices
Deliver transactional messages (receipts, security alerts, product updates)
Detect abuse, enforce our Terms, and protect users and the platform
Analyze aggregate usage to improve product performance
Comply with law and respond to lawful requests

4. Stripe and Payments

Payments on PayWallPage involve Stripe in two ways:

Creator sales: buyers pay the creator's own Stripe account using keys the creator connects. PayWallPage is not the merchant of record for those sales and does not take a percentage of creator GMV
Pro subscriptions: platform billing for Pro is processed through Stripe on behalf of PayWallPage

Stripe's handling of payment data is governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy.

5. Third-Party Service Providers

We use third-party service providers to operate the Service. Depending on how you use PayWallPage, these providers may process personal information on our behalf for purposes such as:

Authentication and account management
Hosting, infrastructure, and custom domain routing
Database storage and backups
File upload and media delivery
Transactional email delivery
Analytics and product telemetry

These providers process data under their own privacy policies and contractual obligations to us. We do not sell your personal information.

6. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We and our service providers may use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies for authentication, security, preferences, and analytics. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling certain cookies may limit parts of the Service.

7. Data Security

We implement technical and organizational measures appropriate to the risk, including encryption of sensitive credentials at rest, access controls, and monitoring. No method of transmission or storage is fully secure. Payment card data for checkouts is handled by Stripe. Report suspected security issues to paywallpage@hankified.com.

8. Data Retention

We retain account and content data while your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and meet legal, tax, and security requirements. After account deletion, we may retain limited records where required by law or for legitimate business purposes (for example fraud prevention).

9. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at paywallpage@hankified.com. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request.

Creators control content published on their pages. Buyers seeking refunds or purchase records for a creator sale should contact the creator first. See our Refund Policy.

10. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

11. International Transfers

We may process and store information in the United States and other countries where we or our service providers operate. Those locations may have different data-protection laws than your home country.

12. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised policy.
